Change a server’s resources

Reallocate RAM, CPU, SSD, backups, databases and ports without exceeding your DJOBOX.

From the Resources page of a server in DJOBOX Control, you can change its allocation without deleting or recreating the service. Adjustable resources include RAM, CPU, SSD storage, the number of backups, the number of databases and the number of available network ports.

Each increase is taken from your DJOBOX global pool. DJOBOX enforces quotas server-side: a change is rejected if all of your servers together would exceed the capacity you purchased. Reducing an allocation releases that capacity for your other services.

DJOBOX also enforces the technical minimums of the game or application and prevents storage from being reduced below the space currently required. Some RAM, CPU or storage changes may require a restart to be fully applied.

When creating or resizing a server, minimum and recommended values are based on the publisher’s official documentation when dedicated-server guidance exists. If sufficiently precise official server data is unavailable, DJOBOX uses an internal technical estimate that is clearly identified as such. These guidelines may change depending on versions, player counts, mods, plugins and maps.

RememberAlways use the information shown in your DJOBOX area for ports, access details and settings specific to your service.
